Crocheted bedspread for the van

New bed covering for my bed in the van... Well, if Paddy would get off, it's mine.

its a simple treble, with every second one worked around the post of the stitch below. using 3 colours, alternate one Row each, changing one colour every 9th row.

Acrylic yarn, so it will wash well.

Beautiful job. Isn't it a nice satisfying feeling to make something yourself instead of buying it ready made?

Lovely Rosie, it will keep you warm in the winter. I haven't crochet for years must give it a try again.

Just have to say Rosie your bedspread looks great, with the pile of pillows looks a very inviting spot to put your feet up during the day.

He is supposed to be on his own thrown rug, which he is, technically... you can see it underneath him.

Mighty pretty Rosie, do you have an actual pattern for this.  I am afraid my crochet abilities only work when I read the pattern.  Your instructions below don't work for me I am afraid.

Start with a chain just a bit longer than you need
one treble in each (except the first 2)
next row one treble normally done, and every second one around the "post" of the stitch under it.

start with one colour, add a 2nd colour for the 2nd row, and a 3rd for the next one...............4th row, pick up the first again ( 5th the 2nd, and 6th pick up the 3rd).

now, after you have done 3 rows in a single colour, change it................so colour 1 you do in row 1,4 and 7, and in row ten instead of the 1 st colour again, change it .

You make it sound so easy but it does look lovely, can't wait to have the time to do this.

Thanks Rosie, will give it a try, after I finish the current one, which is zig zag...  three colours
