One foul swoop instead of one fell swoop is another. And I'm surprised by the number of people, including pollies and journalists, who use where've instead of we've and there've instead of they've.

And what's more the forum site spell checker is making it hard for me to post the error spelling!

If you're going to relate it to pollies then "one foul swoop" may be more appropriate, or perhaps many foul swoops biggrin

S.W.M.B.O. is half Welsh and half Maltese, she also spent a few years in Germany. I do not DARE pick her up on the various pronounciations and enunciations that she uses. I generally gauge the tone of her voice and, hopefully, I respond accordingly. However this is not always an accurate reading of her requests nor does she always get the reply she wants. I find myself getting up off the floor a lot.
