Yeah... Me too. Was a bit miffed with Pay Pal when I sent the emails to them and specifically asked for, confirmation that they were scams, but they never responded to my request.
i have had cause to complain a few times recently about other issues ... When they are good, they are great, but when they screw up ..... Let's not go there ....

When I get them I log on to my Paypal account via a new browser window and check from there.
Yes I'v had them too and like you Barina I also go to my Paypal account. Also I have noted that these phishing emails never address you personally and more often than not have spelling errors. One thing I didnt realise was that these could be forwarded on to paypal, so thanks for that advice and will do so with the next one that comes through.
Paypal probably get flooded with forwarded scam emails requesting confirmation, so not surprising they take a long time to respond or don't respond at all.
Thanks for reporting that suspicious-looking email. The email you received was not sent by PayPal and it links to a fake website. We are investigating and working on stopping the fraud.

You can normally tell by the address, never open them, if they are from a DDOS site and you use windows, as soon as you open them, a port may be opened and they have you. Much better to look at the mailing address and without opening, forward them to paypal, or delete.
I don't understand how you would know that the email is a "Distributed denial of service attack" this is an attack on a website not an individual computer, as far as I understand, as long as I don't click on a link within a spam or phishing email or open an attachment, I am safe I have never yet been attacked by opening an email, I do use several means of protection on my computers but up to this point in time this protection has not been triggered by an attack by just opening the main body of the email.
Cheers
David
