I read today 23/10/13 that this State Government  (Liberals) is going to charge for camping in the State Feorest's  Upwards of $ 39.. per Night  What a disastrous thing to do  I though we collectively owned the forest...I realize some one has to clean up after some Idiot Campers  But this is just another Cash Grab by Napthine and his cronies

Apparently Tidal River camping sites on Wilson's Prom will rise from $39/night to $52/night .... and I believe that is non-power

That is crazy stuff - there is of course Bear Gully nearby (which used to be free- not sure if it still is) - but it is a small area, and you have to ring and book a site. Wonder if you still have to go into a ballot to camp at Tidal River in the summer season?

Hmmm ?? Yeah not good, ?? But I thought ''National Parks were Federal Run ?? But I may be wrong ? They say that there is a $10 million dollar shortfall in the cast of running the Parks "" now we have to pay ??

If only Brumby and his cronies had not built that Desalination Plant, That is costing 1.8 Million dollars a day to run, [ on standby ? ] We could be using that money instead ?? Instead of running the Plant for 6 days, We could use our National park for 365 days a yearsmile

Is this only in Vic?

we went to Tidal River 3 years ago and it was $55 a night with power, if I had been in the office when Mrs W paid I would have told them to stick it but I had to wait with the van.

Still a ballot in TR during summer months

what about Kakado, the last I heard visitors have to pay $25 per person but NT residents don't have to pay at all, while that situation exist's I will not go back there.

Hey Dazren, you pick'n on our Desal Plant? I had to put up with all the damaged roads, noise, stock shortages in the shops, rude people around town, pubs with no beer cos the workers took it all, trying to drive large buses around the site doing tours, shall I go on?

Come to think of it, the roads are still damaged. Bugga.
