Poor water presure..

Hello everybody;

                       Ok, my wife and my self are the proud owners of a 2012 Jayco discovery ( our 3rd Jayco caravan ) that we purchesed new in 2012, so still a new caravan and it's real first shake down trip was in May this year when after been made redundant so, we took off from home ( Mildura ) and traveled up to Darwin and were away for about 6 weeks. Fantastic trip and not a problem with the tug or the caravan.

Any way i have a external water filters, course and a fine one and even when the filters were not used the water presure from the mains supply is very poor and seems like forever just to fill the kettle for a cupper.

Now i have installed just the fine water filter in the front boot of my caravan and run the two water lines through the boot floor and around to were the main water line comes through the floor  and then in to the water supply for the caravan. Now is there some sort of pressure regulator that could be adjusted so as to improve the water pressure. Even be for the filters were installed the water pressure was nothing shout about. I have used good quality 12mm high pressure pipe and all of the fittings.

Wireing diagrams i can understand, is there a diagrame of how the plumbing is put together.

Gday Stephen. First up ,can you undo the inlet mains after the regulator and use your home hose to connect up to that ? remember it no fancy affair it just has to be tested.If the pressure improves it clearly tells you its the reg.It has to be a process of elimination so good luck.John

Here's a flow chart (pun intended) attached that may help in diagnosing the problem.

I assume that u have mains pressure and tank extraction and your system would have 3 or more non return valves which will require /use substantial pressure to open them thereby causing back pressure at the pump so the answer to your problem is to maybe have to get a much bigger pump how do I know this because I have the same problem                                   I notice you mention a pressure regulator    which is possibly to reduce EXCESS   mains pressure on the mains pr line  of
