Hello all - I went into the search section for insurances - some of the posts were posted quite sometime ago now - so I was just wondering what your ideas are on insurances. Sorry to rehash but just interested. I have a slide-on camper. happy camping
Our caravan is insured with CIL. As this is a major purchase in our lives, we feel it is important to have it insured. Our previous camper trailer also was insured, along with, I think $5000 contents.
Just yesterday, the daughter of a friend rolled their 4WD and camper trailer. Luckily, everything was insured. (They were not hurt)

DUNMOWIN is no longer on the road and still DUNMOWIN!
I went through an Insurance Broker, they got our caravan insured through CIL cheaper than if we did it ourselves. Make sure your insurance covers you for transporting your caravan home if you total your tug, ours does. Also it's covered traveling over to Tasmania on the ferry too :) so peace of mind all round.
Gday Nelly. Sadly these days your question may require an entire page to answer.First up.. your postcode from where you are based is a major part of the quote, then, are you a first timer or do you have a lifetime rating ,then are you financing your rig ?plus maybe 3-4 other details. Just to give you an idea we lived in a Nth of Melb suburb, then went rural, our quote was 50% cheaper the next year and the lady on the phone said it was simply the postcode !! Happy hunting John.

I was with Ken Tame for 5 years until they finally shafted me. Shop around all the Insurers mentioned in this Posting plus any others you know of. I settled on Apia..
