Would like to hear how you found travelling around NZ. We are doing a 14 day cruise there in November and we know we will only see a tiny bit of NZ . It's a thought for the future to go over and hire a MH and have a good look around.

We did a fourteen day cruise last November on the Dawn Princess, FANTASTIC.
Loved NZ and the Milford Sound is out of this world. The day we did it, it had been raining for a few day, but stopped when we went in. Spent a few hours in there.
I forget the port in the South Island, but the ship anchored and took everyone ashore in the tenders. The locals were lined up in just about anything on four wheels trying to get your business for a tour. We chose a Harley and sidecar outfit for a one and a half hour tour up the skyline and back through the town.
Loved it so much we are off to Singapore next week for a twenty one day cruise around Asia.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
A motorhome holiday to follow up in NZ sounds just right.
Hi Jules, thanks for the welcome back. Great months trip. Would recommend it to everyone.
Pambaz, by going in September we avoided the tourist season and saved about $1000 in discounts including a 20% dicount on the cost of the hire van by being CMCA members.
Our average c/van and park fees came to $14.50nz over 30 days.5500k's. So much free or conservation parking it puts Aus. to shame. Just about pull up anywhere outside of the cities or larger towns. Nearly always woke up to views of lakes or snow capped mountains, or lush green paddocks. Having seen nearly all the touristy things this trip we will spend more time parked up in one spot when/if we go again.
Thoroughly recommended.

Thanks Janette, beautiful country and everyone so friendly and helpful. Wouldn't want to go there in peak tourist season though.Would be too crowded for us.
Must catch up with you for another coffee and chat sometime.
