News tonight says that Coffs Harbour council has decided to continue to alow free 48hr camping on its Jetty foreshore for fully self contained vehicles with a permit from the INFO centre.

Good stuff. Hope they have room at info centre for big rig parking if you need a permit before you park there. They dont always think og that.

Well , good luck people in finding somewhere to put your rig , while you go to the info centre for your permit , Coffs is not all that RV friendly as to be supplying a lot of parking for caravans in the CBD, We know , as Coffs is our home (when we choose to go back there ) Lyn

 We had that problem at the info centre in Longreach. Nowhere to even park my little rig of that time, let alone a big rig. Eventually found somewhere in a backstreet, went to the info centre where they said 'oh you can park in front here'...where there's a sign saying buses only! Der! Then they didn't have a public toilet in there, so had to go over the road to the council chambers. By the time we got back from there, we decided to skip the info centre.

Good thing about Coffs though. smile
