Birregurra Festival

Birregurra (Vic) is holding it's annual festival over the week-end of the 12th and 13th of October. This is a great festival with something for everybody and it's amazing the crowd it pulls. There is everything from face painting for the children right through to dog jumping. Lots of food and local produce too. The picturesque township comes alive for this event and the population swells from the hundreds to the thousands as people come from near and far to take in the sights. Art, craft, music........ it's all there.

Birregurra is a small farming township approx. 130klm South West of Melbourne, Victoria. For festival details see.........

Whilst I have no connection with the town or the festival, I will be attending on Saturday from around 11am to 3pm as part of a VW event. We will have our VW's on display from 11am at the South entrance to Birregurra. If anybody is in the area or just wants to drive out for the day, please drop in and say hello. You won't miss my "Frigidaire on wheels" white Kombi with "Grey Nomad" sticker on top of the windscreen.

I'll be staying at the Erskine River Foreshore caravan park as part of a VW event and that park will be pretty full of VW enthusiasts.

On Sunday morning, the VW crew makes it's way to the "Steam Packet Gardens" on the Geelong foreshore where our vehicles go on display (late morning to mid afternoon.) I've attended the last four of these events and I can tell you, the old Kombis and beetles draw a crowd, as do the more unusual VW vehicles from yesteryear. If you get the chance, please feel free to drop in to either Birregurra on Saturday arvo or Geelong on Sunday.

Hope to see you therebiggrin

I'll drop down to the foreshore on the Sunday Queen as it's only a 5 minuted drive from home:)
