Thieves visit Pilliga Bore.

We went up to PIllIga Bore on a day trip last Saturday. There were quite a few caravans and motorhomes camped. Campers were goIng around askIng IIf  any of theIr belongIngs had been stolen overnIght.. One person had a contaIner of deIsel taken another had petrol taken, someone else a camp chaIr and another had their portable solar panel taken out of their trailer.

We can't be too trusting with our belongings it seems. please take care with your gear. Lock up fuel containers, put your gear away safely, don't leave things around, it's easy picking for thIeves.

You are so right re the easy pickings. If we are camped in a suspect area, I run a small chain hooking up all the items and then locking it ti the wheel of the van. Have not lost a things as yet????
We are going to visit Pilliga bore on the way home to Brisbane.
Also may get to Lighting Ridge.
Lock up and sleep well

I do the same with a 6mm s/s wire, just takes a fair bit to cut through and I feed the lock back under the van It seem to be seasonal and there is no rime or reason for it .
