I'll be heading home in a week or so just wondering if anyone is going to be doing the same about that time. Not done it before so would be nice to have someone to catch up with occasionally.

Do you have a dog? Nullarbor means place with no trees, so dogs are not too thrilled about it. Hehe

I wish I could say we will be doing the Nullabor but sadly we are not.

Have a good safe trip,you will meet lots of people you will never be on your own for long.

Many excellent free camps, plenty of fuel stops ( about 200klms apart) and lots to see. Get a Nullabor map, that is full of information. Stop at Head of the Bight, stunning!!. Don't forget Quarantine stations at Ceduna and WA/SA border.

Try to avoid buying fuel at Border Village and Nullarbor Roadhouse... most expensive en route!

Get fuel at Eucla.

We loved the whole journey. Thoroughly recommend Fraser Range for a couple of days' break if you've time.

Thank you Pam that would have been nice if you could be there. I know there are always folk around, amazing how many of us are out here... No dog at this stage Gary so lack of trees not an issue. Funny this has been a forever must do and I'm finally going to do it!!!
Have ticked quite a few things off the list this trip. We will have a lot to talk about Marge come summer.

Hi Tess. If u can have a look at www.nullabornet.com.au,,i,ve done it a few times,,, first time soon after we were married in 1970 on our way to Tom Price in a Rambler and trailer,,, no A/C hot

as hades,,,, 2 cats (wrapped in wet blankets) and a Labrador dog,,,, was a lot of coast rd and dirt rd but now runs inland ,the brake line on the rambler broke soon after hitting the dirt,didnt

matter much as no traffic and h/brake worked we stopped at a station and the mechanic lo and behold had some tubing and we were able to repair the brakes ,,,,got to perth and there were

floods on the n/west h/way,,,fun trip

i went across n back last year. I was a single female with 2 dogs Towing a jayco pop top. I didn't have the courage to free camp on the Nullarbor. Fraser Range #26 was lovely, felt v safe. Also stopped at Mundrabilla and although I was there alone at first, by evening, several others had pulled in too. I also muzzled my dogs against 1080 and had the UHF on to hear what was happening on the road.but, like you, I would have preferred company ;)
