Get to the doctors once a year!

Just been diagnosed with Menieres Disorder (vertigo /balance problem).Does anyone travel with this problem and is it hard to manage?. It seems that you fall out of one problem and straight

into another.In anticipation....Alan.

Should have posted under a new topic .My apoligies.

Gday.I.m 63 and I go to a skin clinic once a year for an outer body service so to speak. My lady doc said that the tiny freckle on the inside of my upper right arm was still the same as last year but she suggested that we remove it. This was done as you see the next day [3 weeks ago].Well last week she rang to say  the tests indicated that it was malignant. Thesecond photo was yesterday as the nurse was about to bandage it up.Its 4" long and the doc was nice enough to angle the work around my tatts ! [old biker  stuff !] So folks get those spots checked out !!!

Yep - glad it got sorted for you - when I went in for my 6 monthly grease and oil change (meds, check over, etc.), the doc decided to remove a couple of little lumpy things - sent them off for pathology - and came back with the diagnosis of "senile warts"!!!!! I didn't think I was old enough to be considered senile just yet - but good to know, nothing serious.

Hope you heal up well, and have no more little nasties!

Moamajohn, where do you find a skin clinic in Echuca/Moana.
I had checks with my doctor Clare. Had a couple biopsies, came back clear.
I get back to Biggenden, go to the doc here, he finds 6 suspects, cuts out 3 leaving ugly scars and they came back clear.
I want to get a proper check, where they get it right, but not up here.
In the summer I will try again in Echuca. Who do I go to?

Marj. I still have a place in Melb as I still have to work 3 days a week.[Lost lots of my super sadly ] So I go to a skin clinic in Essendon .My GP said that you should only get a specific Skin person, cause they know exactly what to look for.Since I don.t know of any in Echuca I will always do a trip to Melb once a year .But I will make enquiries for you up here and P/M you.John

That's okay John, can check it with Clare when I get back. She will know of the closest one.

My husband's cousin has it and it hasn't stopped him travelling backwards and forwards to Africa and to Europe. I think diet helps it a lot.

Thankyou people,Jules, neilnruth, I have researched the net some good info. This is one of the many issues that we have at the moment and once sorted we will be off. Nothing will stop the plans that have been in place for quite a while .It is the health issues...Alan.
