Free Camping near Port Lincoln SA

We were there a year or so ago, and the Boat Ramp's North and South of Port Lincoln ( on TAR) were Free Camp for fully self contained Motorhomes/campervans, Do not know about fully self contained Caravans. Confirmed this with the info Centre.

As above Camps Book would also show free camps.

We are heading to Port Lincoln soon for a couple of weeks and will start off in the Port Lincoln Caravan Park for a day or so but was wondering if anyone knows of any free camping sites in the general area that they would like to share please

Regards Judes and Bazz

Hi, this question has been raised quite a few times recently.  If you do a search in Eyre Peninsula, there are plenty of answers for you.  Good luck, and enjoy the peninsula

Hi Jude and Baz, A couple of years ago we overnighted at "Redlands" which is a beach side area about a kilometre off the highway on the way to Port Lincoln from Pt Augusta.

Fairly level area with just a rubbish bin for company. Lovely views and easy beach fishing. Short run to P/L and in any event a great one night spot.

On our list for next year.

Regards Chris and Joy

Thanks everyone or your help. We pick up our new caravan on Friday and this will be our first trip  longer than a few days. We are keen to do the free camping and figure although total novices the only way to learn is to have a go. Looking forward to a little time away.

Regards Judes and Bazz

Good luck at Port Lincoln. Seafood capital of Australia, with no fish and chip shops to be found. And Port Lincoln Caravan Park right on the water, when the southerlys blow in hang on to ya hat, and giggle at the Jayco birdnamed poptops, flapping around..

No offense meant, just observations we made while there
