I'm going to have a look at a Gallivantor pop top caravan.

It raises up the walls & roof on hydraulic rams.

A battery powers an electric motor that raises & lowers it.

Looks interesting, just can't find anything on the net about them.

Anyone know anything about them ?

Yes, it's on Trading Post.
I like quirky & that seems to fit the bill.
Like a Prattliner but Prattliner has a hydraulic pump
that has to be hand pumped.

Yes, there is one for sale somewhere.
So many websites,so many photos.
I couldn't own one. The crap I would cop
with a Pratt-liner. Don't need the hassle.

Hi Chopit, I saw a 'Gallivantor' while in Townsville recently and spoke to the owner, he was very happy with it. Like me he wanted solid walls and no canvas around him. I never saw one while looking for something early on or may have one on the back of the Prado now.

The 'Prattliner Low Tow' was a good alternative to a full CV and had no canvas around it. I had a look at one at the beginning of my search but what put me off was the pump up lever seemed to take forever to raise the top up, not to mention the lousy condition of the one I was looking at.

Good luck with your search and final purchase.
