You could break up the leg from Cobar by staying at North Bourke - Kidmans Camp Caravan Park is lovely, or the cheaper option at Mays Bend.

From Cobar, have you considered going via Wilcannia (can recommend Warrawong on the Darling caravan park there) - Broken hill - and on to Adelaide from there?

There are a number of overnight rest areas between Bourke and Cobar/Broken Hill, some are busier/more popular than others. A Camps Book would give you the locations.

That's a good suggestion. Camps Book can give you more details perhaps!
