Howdyeeeee , looks like you are having a great time, stay excited , god knows what will happen tomorrow!!!, Isn"t !!that exciting,??? ,,No-one knows what is going to happen tomorrow, hehehehe,,,, RE; I have been silly.... nooooo you haven't , enjoy the experience,,,,,,,,May I go off topic for a moment???thank you ,,, ,,,,that's enough,, back on topic,,,,, enjoy planet beautiful.............Billeeeeee
These things happen so easily. This morning (0605hrs) I was lifting the roller door to my shed to get the car out so as to drive to work some 30klm away. I had my heavy work bag over my left shoulder. The roller door has never been adjusted properly since it was installed and is very heavy to lift. My son said years ago he would come out and help me adjust it, but it never seems to happen As I struggled against the recoil of the door spring, the bag fell off my shoulder and into the crook of my arm. It put me off balance enough so that I wasn't controlling the lift properly. Result...... a strain to the left rear shoulder muscle which gave me curry all day
It's not too bad as I type, but I can still feel it. I'm counting my blessings that it wasn't more serious and caused me to miss the entire shift.
An old friend once said to me that "you have to concentrate to stay healthy" and his words often ring true........... especially when I do something as silly as what I did this morning!!

My sympathies.!!!! As we get older we seem to fail to recognise that our previous abilities diminish accordingly. Something that I USED to do laid me on my back for 6 months, when I could of (eventually did) get someone in to do the same job for $40. Hoping that you get better quickly.Kia Kaha.

Its a lot better today , had a bit of hassle getting my shoe on this morning as when i bent it i felt it have some sort
of a spasm ,im sure it will get better, and yes you are right im not capable anymore of doing what i could always do
but i was up the back trying to tidy up the yard just a tad ,oh well carry on .
thank you all for caring :)
Queen Kombi you poor bugger, yep i too said to myself this could of been a lot more serious, i dead set thought
gees the way i landed i could of dislocated my knee or leg in some form,as it was i knew i had done something to
it , luckily i had my lymphodema stocking on and i think that helped a lot plus i would have grazed my leg and im
not supposed to get a cut of scratch on that leg.
As hard as it maybe, we all come to a stage where our bodies are no longer as flexible as they used to be - doing up the house for sale has my body protesting that "we don't do this s**t any more" :)
Della, time to get out on the road and then the whole country is your back yard so you can settle down and the most you need to do is collect enough rubbish at a rest stop to fill a rubbish bag then sit back and enjoy.
I am glad you are progressing with your health and I will be waiting for your announcement that all the sales are done and the work on the Van FINISHED and you are FREE and on the road.
Keep going forward and just be careful as the bones and muscles are not as strong anymore. That old fella God designed us back to front as we should be feeble and stiff whilst a child at school and then be suptle and agile when we wish to get around this country and enjoy the sights.
Too many people leave it too late to get out there.
Regards
Brian
