Evening Roy, we have a 14L Truma gas/240v 12v pump/mains, installed in our Kea.

Have never had a problem, in fact we find it an excellent unit.

However, many do have major problems, to the extent they have renamed them (Trauma)

The only difference I can discern are that a lot of the problems seem to occur with home installations, the plumbing/wiring and gas fitting look to be quite complex, draw from that whatever you like.

I'm pretty handy but this is one job I would have done professionally.smile

the only difference is this one is a 240 volt one don't have it yet so don't know any more about it I have purchased from goldstreamrv I think it is only 240 volt no gas fitting according to a caravan place around here they said that these are a pretty good unit from what I can see without the gas connections it shouldn't be that real hard now it looks like all the piping is hoses I was thinking of copper but it looks like I don't need it

Hi roy and mia,
All I can say is measure twice and cut once as the positioning has to be correct. The ports are all labelled as to hot and cold so it is not too difficult to hook up. That is, providing you have the directions.
If they haven't given directions go back to request them. If you have them and its all Double Dutch, no explanation from any one will help, as all a person can do is quote the directions.

On the plus side, mine is a gas only model almost 10 years old, and has given no problems. These Things don't need the dreaded anode's either and that is a saving of around $300-00 over 10 years.

Santa, Yours has twice the room around it that mine has, and I am sure going to have a job removing it if mine ever blows up.biggrin

Wait and see if it has some basic instructions ,then remember that it is req,d by law if it is to be used for purposes other than W/Machine and sink the water must be tempered.

our van doesn't have an ensuite so water wi8ll be used for washing dishes and a bucket full for the shower in the shower tent where we control how hot we want the shower and yes I have the instructions and all fittings except the 12v pump and a non return valve and the piping looks very easy to plumb it in just follow the diagram

keep in mind when using on mains pressure you may need a pressure reducing device so you don,t burst it
