Just a little more regarding this really great little treasure (Glenmorgan ) another dot on the map
The locals call it the end of the line, it is about 80ks south/west of Condamine QLD .
The free camping behind the old refurbished railway station.
Coin operated electric BBQ/Toilet/Hot Showers available 24/7 .
The first two nights are free with power,additional time spent is $5 per night for the use of the power.
If you do not require power there is no extra charge to stay.
Monty's 1940s style auto garage which is now a vintage car museum (most of these vehicles are owned by the owner ) it is a privately owned set up. A large collection of restored cars and trucks about 15 are on display, but he is adding to it as he finishes another restored vehicle.The total collection comprising of about 70 vehicles.
This is a working museum as he is always restoring some thing.
There is also a large range of vintage spear parts and equipment and memorabilia.
There is a pub with good cheap meals/general store/fuel/ church.
A visit to the Heritage listed Myall Botanic Gardens, this is one of the best gardens we have ever visited in a long time ,You can also camp in the park if the free camping area doesn't appeal to you I think it is $20 per night,they also have a fully furnished house for around $80 per night ,what value is that as a motel room in places can set you back over $100.
Now that sounds like an absolute bargain ,i will keep that in my mind the fee is fantastic for power
