Bigriggin Campground, Rathdowney, Qld

This is a great place to stay with lots of space. $9 p/p/p/n, toilets and 20 cent coin operated showers.

The Logan River runs along the edge, and has a good swimming hole, and lots of birds, wallabies, possums etc.

No dogs allowed naturally. And I can recommend the steak from the butcher in Rathdowney. wink

confusebiggrinhi beth54, we have been camping there for the last 25years or so. started off with just a truck tarp and tents when our kids were just ankle biters and moved into the caravan era in 2000 & 3 vans later we are still going there , actually will be out there in this September school holidays with some of the grown ups and now our grandkids. Yes i definetly agree the meat from Paul the Rathdowney butcher is just devine. also not a bad meal at the rathy pub as well.

cheers

Crocodile.

Hi crocodile. I'm not really one to keep going back to the same places, but I may go back there with  my own family some time.

As an Ippy person, I guess you'd know Goomburra National Park. I'm going there this weekend with my son and his family. They've just got a new/old van they want to try out. I prefer to stay somewhere for several days, but I can't be away more than a weekend at the moment.

I actually meant you're an Ippy person. My son and family live out that way, so I'm getting to know my way round the area too. I'm between Brisbane and Gold Coast.

We stayed there for 5 days back in late July. We were the only people there for 3 days.
