A BIG THANKYOU - GTG IN ROCKINGHAM (NEAR PERTH)

And a big thank you to the Dunmowin,s for organising the meet up, one of the best we have had in WA so far!

It was great to meet you all.  Unfortunately due to a mix up of meeting points we did not get the chance to meet Mr & Mrs PhillT, but Gypsy Bob was able to catch up with them on the foreshore before he turned up at the pub.  Hopefully we can meet up with them and those who could not make it this time at another get together, and our thoughts went out to the late Magic Bob and his wife Jane who no doubt would have been there under different circumstances.

PS:  They were unable to attend the pub as they had their dog with them.

Thanks again Dunmowin's, a great day out! biggrin

Thanks you to all of you who came to our get together/meet up here in Rockingham.  Despite the weather (I did not invite Murphy) being fine after we made the decision to move our venue, we ended up at the Rockingham Hotel, where we spent quite a few hours.  It was great to meet you all, we are a long way from home, so it was good for us to make some new acquaintances, and we hope we can keep in touch.

We were eighteen in all:

SPIDA andCOLLS

MR & MRS DUH

THE DELTA18s and THE WOMBATs

JRHs and JACO GYPSIES

GYPSY BOB (arrived late, but better late than never)

BENT AXLE BOB, and two wannabees John and Doug

Not to mention, THE DUNMOWINS.

It was good to put faces to so many of you that I have seen on the forum over the past three years.  For me, the best get together I have had.

I arrived late specifically so I wouldn't be in the photo :)

It was nice to meet, albeit briefly a few friendly faces to go with the names I see on here. Thanks so much for organising these things. Can the next one be at Lake Ballard please?

Thanks to the Dunmowins for the day. It was a great success when you can sit and talk to strangers like long lost friends. Hope to do it again. Maybe in York???

Hmmmmm.......methinks John had a little behind the scenes help from Wombat, smacks of his handiwork furious

PS:   Bob looks like he has twisted his neck......hmm (Wombat is behind him partly obscured).

Ha ha, well done on the photo John.

From us also thanks for organising this GTG, Lynne & I enjoyed it and enjoyed meeting people we only knew as nicknames.

Perhaps someone (with a better memory for names than me) could tag the photo with names for the benefit of others that couldn't make it.

Cheers Neil

Sorry we missed you all at the foreshore,....maybe we can meet some other time.

Some pics of the Plan "A" venue. It was a lovely spot, and we had a nice lunch, as well as meeting GypsyBob.

Hardly recognised him from the 20 year old photo in his Avatar

Nice GypsyBob, a much closer resemblance for sure

I trust you are having some luck with your electrics install?
