Just got a newsletter from Avida, the manufacturer of Australian Winnebago MHs.

Seems that they have launched into the caravan market with an extensive range of offerings.

Should be interesting to see their product.

The market is getting rather crowded.  I suppose that we are heading for a shake out in the industry.  Or the optimists will say that the increased competition will lead to better customer deals.

Whilst in WA came across a Chief van, so far have not seen any on the road.

Chief are built in Melbourne and have been around for 2 or 3 years.
As they're still in business there must be a few on the road, but I confess I've only ever seen one on my travels and coincidentally it was 3 days ago in Tocumwal on the Murray.

Just a thought, this could be why they haven't started using winabago name since they won their court appeal to do so. They may have been planning this all along eh.

They do have photos and layouts of their new vans on their website now. Even a slideout.
