Anaconda Travel Sim Card

Morning Duh,

Global roaming has always been a rip off for us Aussies, never have used it, though have heard horror stories.

The last few trips o/seas we have done we simply purchased a SIM card in the country we were visiting, the cost is minimal.

In the USA I found I had to buy another phone with a cheap plan, cost me about $60, we were there for 2 months and I was still in credit when we returned home.

Sounds like a much better idea Santa and Herbie and a lot cheaper your way smile

A new travel SIM card offering global roaming rates up to 90 per cent cheaper than the major Telcos will be available soon at your local travel agency.

The Anaconda Travel SIM promises global roaming rates up to 90 per cent cheaper than major Telcos and up to 30% Cheaper than Competitor SIMs.

The Anaconda Travel SIM promises global roaming rates up to 90 per cent cheaper than major Telcos and up to 30% Cheaper than Competitor SIMs.

Boasting call rates as low as 45 cents per minute from the US to Australia, the new pay-as-you-go Anaconda Travel SIM can be used for low-cost global roaming in more than 200 countries and territories, making it easier (and cheaper) to stay in touch while overseas  and offering an insurance against bill shock.

Anaconda Travel SIM Director, John Farmer, said the SIM card, which offers US and UK phone numbers, had been purpose-designed for the travel industry to on-sell to travellers as an extension of their service to customers.

Travel agents will receive 10 percent commission on all money credited to the SIM card by customers.

If an agency sells just 100 SIM cards in one month and customers load an average of $300 each onto their cards, then that amounts to $3000 in commissions for the agent in one month, Mr Farmer said.

The cards can be re-used for future trips so the agent receives more commissions again for no effort, And retailers can also track the activity of their customers and their commissions via our website.

We are also offering travel agents white label opportunities so travel companies can offer customers our travel SIM cards as their own, enhancing their product offering.

A record 8.4 million international trips were made by Australians in the 12 months to June, 2013, and for them business travellers and holidaymakers - a smartphone for calls, social media, internet searches and travel apps is just as essential as a passport, camera and sunscreen so what the Anaconda Travel SIM card offers is a dedicated, reliable and very affordable way to stay connected while overseas, Mr Farmer said

We tested our Anaconda Travel SIM overseas on a business trip and after 488 calls, 289 visits to the internet and 290 text messages during a two-month trip, the mobile phone bill came to $1455 using our Anaconda card. Had I roamed with a major telcos card, the cost would have been 13 times that. A family friend also used our card to make a three-hour phone call from Italy to the US which cost just $64, compared to the $890 it would have cost using a mainstream Australian SIM card.

The Anaconda Travel SIM offered call rates to Australia as low as 68c per minute from New Zealand, 64c per minute from Bali, 45c per minute from the US, and 39c per minute from the UK the four most popular destinations for Australians - while data roaming charges were as low as 38 cents per MB in some countries.

It doesnt matter who is travelling, whether its a business person that needs to make many long calls and send a number of emails, or a family with children that want to check Facebook all the time, its far better to have a pre-paid SIM card so you can manage your costs without worrying about how big the post-trip phone bill will be.

Would not get involved with this type of set up.

We did the same as Santa while in USA.
