SEMI RETIREMENT FOR THE TOJO;

I have posted this pic before, but as we now have many new members I am doing it again to show where the old Tojo has been over the years.

Much of the eastern half of the country has been done many times.

Now we will do it again at a more casual rate.

Very neat. We have a map of each state that we are plotting our progress on. Amazing when you look at it and you see all the areas you havnt been yet. How many years did that take?

Wow, JC, have you had time to rest mate? What a great journey or should I say Journey's.

As you say, you can do it all again only this time with your new tug.

 YES both of us have worked our butts off, Leonie in hospitality for 16yrs & then aged care for 8yrs.

I was born as dairy farmer, there on family farm till I was 25 yrs, Parents sold farms & we moved to town & I took up motor mechanic, earth moving & trucks; & music at a porfessional level for many years, I also travelled back & forth to the farm for 9mth every weekend to help out untill sold. ( an hour each way, so thats three jobs at once)

At the same time I was working as a musican in a 4 peice band doing up to 3 nights a week; this was all on a 12 mth period cantracts.

Decided in 89 that we should do all the travelling  possibile while still at work, If you live long enough to retire & do some more then thats a bonus.

Started in 90 doing trips when we had our annual leave, done half of the block in 91 on long service leave & have kept it up since then, untill in 2005

under doctors orders I had the give it away due to back injurys. Two full yrs of recovery just to get back on my feet with another 12mths just trying to do a few small jobs around the house to rebuild a bit of strength. The girl then retired so now time is our own.

So its been a long hard road work wise, me working day & night, while L worked nights as well.   We both worked for what we have got, no handouts. Makes me feel tired just thinking back on it all. LOLsmilesmilesmile

Yep JC, you and Leonie have earned every minute of your travels.  Those hard days of working have past, retirement is grand even if the pay is a little lighter!  Mind you after seeing what you have been up to with "The Beast" I don't think you have been resting on your laurels no.  It is looking beaut can't wait to see it in the flesh come October hope to catch up with you then.  Aahh life is for living. biggrin  Love the map of your travels.
