Burning oil smell in toyota 100 series ---HELP REQUIRED

I am hoping someone with a 100 series petrol can help me. The problem I have is that whilst driving with the drivers window open even the slightest bit I am getting a burning oil smell coming in through the vents. This has only started recently. I have spent time climbing around underneath vehicle checking for oil leaks in and around the motor, front diff, gearbox, transfer case to no avail.I have taken it to 2 fwd mechanics still to no avail. I could put up with the smell while windows are closed but not with them open. It doesn't happen with air con on. I have checked exhaust pipe for oil dripping on it and have not found any.

So here's hoping someone might have an answer.

mmmmmmm, I would probably check your positive crankcase ventilation valve (pcv) and the hose that is usually attached.

Mate, check and see if there's a small leak out of Tappet Cover and running down on to the Manifold.
A small leak will burn off and not run down the motor.
Just a thought.

Cheers

I note you stated petrol; has  it got a turbo? if turbo seals leak it goes straight into the exhaust system.

Thanks guys for your thoughts on this problem. I have double checked everything again and given it a hit of degreaser and hi pressure washed it, so I'll see what that does.

Regards Ashley
