Hi here I am in Clermont, Solo Traveller, I am going into the gold fields and was hoping to find other like mind GN wanting to do the same, Anyone out there??
The weather is great predicted 31 today, A bit hot for detecting but it beats the cold, There also is not a lot of places that you can free camp in town 2-3 days, I have yet to check that out? Stayed a Theresa dam for 2 nights A great place, Holds about 150 vans, Huge dam very popular for the locals i.e.: jet skiing, fishing, boating, kids play area, dogs accepted 22kl from town $10 per night No power.

just had 7 weeks at the dam and thoroughly enjoyed it
Went out with a prospector a couple of times and only found metal, not the yellow kind
Here at meaendurra for a few days then off to Surat

Theresa Creek .. Great place .... You are a month too late for us .. Still looking for the ideal place to dust off the detector... Maybe next stop ... Kayaks are collecting dust so maybe the detectors will come to the fore .... ... Would have enjoyed someone to join in the quest ...
