Hi Sol, it is a great place, the caravan park is ok,they are trying to do it up.We were there a few years ago and the park was a real hell hole just like being parked up in a paddock kind of set up. The food is good from the pub. The best free/ low cost places so far that we have stayed in this trip is at South Johnson River Camping Ground just out of Millaa Millaa excellent facilities ( in my opinion better than some caravan parks have to offer) .It is just outside of the Nationial park so this camp is free.
Henrietta creek camp ground is located inside the National Park (Wooroonooran) so this is a fee camp but also a beautiful spot.

Spent yesterday at Innot Hot Springs ,this was the place to rejuvenate our self after five days of being with family and friends to celebrate a family wedding in Mission Beach....The hot springs here in Nettle Creek are one of the best natural hot springs we have visited
To look at Nettle Creek it looks like any other thin shallow meandering creek not perceptively moving and barely a thin trickle making it to the low bridge.
In places the water is absolutely scalding,so you have to dig a hole and let the cooler water regulate the temp to your liking. We dug our bath with your thongs,as even the smooth stones and very gritty sand was far to hot to touch with our hands.
The air bubbles rising to the surface brings gasses from the depths.
Up until 1900 the mineral water was bottled and sent to Europe. Mules used to haul the water over Cardwell Range to Townsville for botteling at the Inott Cordial Factory.
People also used to bath here in the nude. But no nudes here yesterday.
The caravan park across from the creek pumps the spring water into hot spring pools they have for their guests to use in all I think there is five pools at differing temps...
