I'm just waiting for it to happen in Victoria toono

For the amount of power I use, I might just go totally off grid if they pull the same stunt here. That'll learn 'embiggrin

Sorry Queenkombi. but they won't care.  The only way would be if a million of us went off the grid.

I hope that doesn't happen because they might start saying we have to pay a service fee because the lines run past our house, same as the water utilities dohmm

Its always a sad day for me when (again!) solar power use is seemingly governed in ways as though its an indictment on societal progress.disbelief

By way of explanation, for well over a decade my wife and I have lived on acreage, on solar power (i.e. 'off the grid' / 'stand alone') and used Aust company products/installers etc too......

IMHO, this requires adaptation and it also saves $ over time, for sure....

though (more the point to me) it is a genuine attempt to leave less of a potential, negative legacy on future generations.

So......@Queenkombi, yep 'they' dont care ('they' being not just Govt rebate departments) and its up to the individual to decide if its worth caring about, in this way.
