at Coolangatta

Spending time with mates at Coolangatta at the moment, having a wonderful time sitting and chatting while watching the birds in the garden...... :)

I drove through there the other day AJ, busy too. I just thought of it today, Winter Sun is close or just been, can't remember when it is. Enjoy that neck of the woods.

I was there in '63 staying with a mate at a beachside boarding house. I remember the jugs. Of beer that is, in the pub. It was also the year I kissed a girl for the first time and I was horrified by the little balls of lipstick fat on my lips. Ew!

Wintersun was in early June Dougwe. I went one year but haven't gotten back since.

Coolangatta is one of my favourite spots on the GC, along with Burleigh Heads. It's less than an hour to the border for me these days. The bypass around the back of the airport has been a long time coming. Thank goodness the days of bottlenecked traffic through Tugan are gone.

Have fun AmandaJayne.

Thanks Beth, I didn't think it was that early. I have been twice but the last time was 2000 and because I have trouble remembering yesterday any wonder I got it wrong.

Great place though AJ, enjoy it while you are there.
