I may have been off forum for a while for very very personal reasons but to come back and find that things have gone pear shaped because of that 2 percent that Dazren spoke of in his post that would never be welcome at my campfire either and I would certainly not want to be within a 10 mile radius of their campfire at the least.

I'm not sure why some people feel a NEED to have a go at others if they go off topic or post in the wrong section.  Is it a power trip for some I ask?  I think so for a few!

It is a forum and it's organic with the ebb and flow of information and conversation.  As most of us are over 50 perhaps we need to get a damn grip and act like it.  I did not expect to come back online to find that two of my boys - Dazren and Wombie have left the forum for a while, that sucks big time.  

I have enough grief in my life to deal with on a daily basis which includes dealing with an adult daughter with serious Bipolar, an eating disorder (Anorexia) and an anxiety disorder.  I deal with attempted suicides, cutting etc on a bloody daily basis and for the past six months I have been trying to cope with the loss of my best friend and partner in crime, my Mum.  So I come on here to escape and have a laugh and have met some truly beautiful people who are generous with their time and friendship and I appreciate that immensely and you know who you are guys.

What I don't appreciate is when some people feel the damn NEED to pick and poke at others for trivial stuff.  If you think a post has gone off thread or you don't have the battery power to read through it then the simple thing to do is get out of the post and leave it instead of feeling the NEED  to leave nasty little comments.  It is really easy to sit at a computer and type crap about a person but really at the end of the day what did they really do to upset you personally hey?

How about we just let sleeping dogs lie and get on with living our lives and laughing through the rough times because Goddess knows I sure as hell need it more than some. . . .PHEW!!!

Sorry if this post offends anyone but I am so sick of the power plays here by a selective few and it ruins a great forum that Cindy has created which has tarnished what I was trying to get out of it when I joined and that was first and foremost. . . .Friendship!!

I know you didn't disappear in the end after reading your second post but to be honest Daryl you should have not had to even consider leaving at all.  I have done that twice now because of that damn 2% but because I need the outlet of laughter more than some I have chosen to ignore that negativity and let it fall where it will.  I told Doug that I was not going to take it to have that 2% knock my friends around  without having something to say about it even it I am a little late I still am P**sed about it happening at all.  

You know we had this several months ago and there is no excuse for it.  You wouldn't think most of us are in our 50's and over would YOU??

Now hit me up with all the latest goss on Doug and we will see how we can play that up a little

Mmmmm, just noticed, where is my hug?

Well Michelle, It's like this ??? As you are probaly aware by now, Dougwe has Left Townsville !!!  I can hear you thinking BUT WHY ?? 

Well rumour has it that it was pretty warm up there, so Dougwe decided to go to the Local NUDIST BEACH [ i know it's true because i just made it up ? ]

Well Doug thought Ah no worries !! so got his gear off and started to wander along the beach  Before long he spotted a pretty young girl walking around TOPLESS ??

and she had a lovely but very small pear of breasts ??  Well Doug started to follow her around, and the little Lady in her haste to get away from him, bolted up the sand and onto the street, With Dougwe , Puffing, and Panting trying to keep up, and not far behind, ??  

Well when they were in the main street ?? The local Policeman seen them, and arrested them,  As it is Ok to be Nude on the Beach, ! But NOT ON THE STREET 

hMM    So as you probaly guessed, The girl and Dougwe, ended up In Court  The local Magistrate heard all the Evidence from the Policeman about them being Nude in a Public street,, ?? the Magistrate asked them both what they had to say ?? and all they could Mutter was I am sorry ??

Well the Magistrate said look to be able to make a fare Judgement on this matter, I ask that you Both ''DISROBE'' in court so as I can see the ''Offending Appendages'' 

Although Embarrassed, they both disrobed in the Courtroom as requested,  Well first of all The Magistrate looked at the young Ladies Breasts AND said young lady you are to be fined $200 and be given a 3 month good behaviour bond 

The Magistrate then look at Dougwe's ;; Offending Appendage ?? '' and Said ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

 

Case Dismissed due to ''LACK OF EVIDENCE''       ---------------- However I do suggest you Leave the City of Townsville A.S.A.P.

That young lady and myself have ventured south to Hervey Bay to check out those beaches here and I might say they are really good and the local sheriff's office don't mind patrolling the beaches at all, they are more than happy to let people be free and I tell you that for free

Like you I have lost 2 good friends. My MIL passed on in September 2012

then in February 2013 my Mum passed on as well.

 Sort of leaves a big hole in ones life. Bright side, we are getting ready to go travelling for a couple 

of months. Van serviced,car checked, packing started.
