Hello Sherbert and Tassie - yes The Flinders is certainly a beautiful place. Sherbert I noticed that on your bucket list you want to see Arkaroola - it is a beautiful place also. The Drive from Wilpena has some wonderful scenery. While we were there we did the Ridge Top tour which was great but the driver we had was a worry to say the least. He seemed to be in a hurry all the time and when we got to the lookout he parked the vehicle to let the people out of the back but he only put the handbrake on and we were on a VERYsteep side - scary stuff really - this put a dampener on the trip but all in all the scenery is beautiful.

Thanks for the responses.

Sherbert - hoping to get up to Arkaroola after the pound

Julie M - no wildflowers yet but it is very green and lush.  Let me know when you get here.  I may still be around.

Nelly - Please send a detailed description of the tour guide so I can avoid him!!!!!!biggrin

Did a lovely 20k walk today to Bridal Gap on the south western rim of the pond.  Flying tomorrow then hopefully St Mary's Peak on Friday.

Cheers

Wayne
