@ the rocket , if you install Microsoft Office One Note on your computer ....you can highlight and copy and paste it into One Note . Very handy for everything you want to keep and also if you have Paint can also do a screenshot go to Paint and save as a JPG in your photos . Hope this helps and good luck .
Try right click on what you want to copy and click on 'save as'
A box will come up asking where you want to save it, you can also give it another name ir you want.
Doesn't work for all things, but is good for most.
Go down to the bottom of the page and select Attached Files .
Click on it and it will open up your photo browser
click on the photo you want to attach
Watch the blue line appear once finished and your finished downloading your photos
Click submit post a and it will ask if you want to insert if you want to put the pic with your text then click insert. if not click no and it will attach then as a thumbnail
Simple as bike riding

Hi Rocket. What system are you using. I'm still on XP. All I do to keep a post, [not a Pic.] is Click on "Page" on the toolbar, and a box will drop down. I then click on "Save as", and the whole page is saved to "My Documents." To save a Pic., just right click on it, and "Save Picture As".
Just re-read your Post Rocket. After you Copy, when you get to where you want to put it, you have to right click again, and a box will appear, which should have Paste in it among other things. Click on Paste, and that should do it.
no luck. i wanted to print out the "online shopping for camping gear" post. tried and tried and thanks everyone, tried a few of your ideas but its a no go. just thinking now i may as well write it out long hand in my note pad. thanks everyone. hope all is going well with you.cheers.
I think the problem may be that you haven't actually selected anything to copy. You need to highlight the text that you want to save, as per above.
(just hold the left mouse button downand move over what you want to copy)
Then right click on the highlighted area and click on copy.
Next open a text program, MS Word or even just a .txt file. (You can open a text file by right clicking on your desktop and click on 'new/text document' When you have a file open, right click in where the text you copied is to go and click on 'paste' Bingo, it will appear. It might take a few seconds if you have selected a lot of text, or if you have a slow internet connection.
If you are using a laptop you can use the snipping tool to catch what you want on the screen then save it as a picture.
If you are on an ipad or iphone you can do a screen capture by clicking the on/off button and the circle menu button at the same time.
I hope this makes sense.
I have a little experience in this area, so I will try to explain a couple of easy ways to copy and paste things:
If you are copying text: start by highlighting the text (place cursor at the end, hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor to the beginning, the background should go dark blue, and the text white or yellow.
then to copy hold down the "ctrl key", and press "C" (known as "Control C") this copies what you have selected into the windows buffer (a place it stores things you have copied).
then go to where you want to put what you just copied, position the cursor where you want it and hold down the "ctrl key", then press "v" (known as Control V).
Using Control C and Control V is easier and there is less chance of disturbing the selection you have made with the mouse.
The Snipping tool is also good for capturing images, but this will not be available to everyone, so people may want to look at the free version of screen hunter, very useful for copying images.
