That must have felt very strange standing in such a dramatic and historic place Judy. Not the same and many miles/km away, I felt a very similar feeling when I first visited Port Arthur in Tassie.

Was a bit surreal especially after seeing a 20min documentary about the event made you feel quite somber. What was interesting there were bus loads of Japanese there, aged from in their 60's, 30's then young children 3 generations visiting was amazing I could not help wondering what they thought if it all.

Also I think that the younger Japanese, would know very little of the Facts about Pearl Harbour As they do not teach that part of History in the schools
However Maybe now they will think and Understand that this was the START of the reasons, WHY ???? It started at Pearl Harbour , and finished at Hiroshima and Nagasaki,
