Storms over South West WA

We are bunkering down for potential storms here in Bunbury tonight.  Torndeo like winds,  and then another tomorrow afternoon.   Booked into caravan park off the water front (but on the highway) in bunbury, and holding on tight.

Good luck in Bunbury. There's an eerie calm in Perth at the moment that I suspect will be shattered later. Hope I'm wrong, but the forecast does not look good at all.
Luckily, I had an outside job today building a plywood platform for the Colorado crew cabin so I can mount my fridge and a couple of batteries and lash them down tight.
To my great surprise and delight I got it done (I am NO carpenter!). It fits very well and is level. I am childishly pleased with it. The finishing touches can wait if the weather's horrible tomorrow.
And then . . . it's heading north. Darwin here we come!

Cheers, Tony

Thanks Tony, unlike storms in Qld - which we can predict being qlders - we are unable to predict this one.  Agree, the eerie calm will be shattered later - just hope all travels well for all of us in the south west.

We have had some heavy showers and a bit of wind up here at Seabird. We are tucked in behind some trees so hopefully we will be ok. Have appointments in Perth this morning so hopefully it wont get too bed while we are away.

Am at Cue - staying another night after heavy rain - a bit cold and looks like more rain coming - may not be fun camping tonight! At least I now know that it was the vent allowing all the water in when it rained - have taped it up and had dry walls last night, but not much sleep listening for that tell tale sound of running water inside!
should be in Perth next week (Yanchep) if anyone is around - staying for 2 months.

At Pinjarra awaiting birth of grandchild, certainly raining and blowing all night and it appears to be coming up again today. Hope it stops by 2.30pm to allow us to keep dry when we do the school run to pick up the other 2. Agree it is much easier to predict Queensland's weather but we suppose that is only because we are used to it.

Thanks all, yes, last night blew up a bit, van shook a couple of times, but not too bad.  Quick storm again this morning, and another predicted for this afternoon, not sure when yet.  Hope it does not interfere with Happy Hour!
