Travelling the Oxley Highway

Hi,

Know it has been asked before, but no answers were given, however is there ANYONE who has recently travelled the Oxley Highway in NSW from Pt Macquarie (coast rd) to Bendameer,(New England Hwy) and whether it is suitable to tow a van across it - I understand it is quite narrow and windy.

Ta and thank you

Pete & June

Many years since we were there Pejay, very scenic, but we weren't towing. If all else fails, you could try phoning the visitor centre at Port Mac or Bendemeer. Have a great trip

I towed my small van both ways on the Oxley at Christmas 2012. It was slow but very pretty. I had no major problems. Cheers JulieM

PeJay hi I did not long ago write a bit about the Oxley Highway one of our prettiest drives from the coast and over the range

I have done it a lot of the years as Transport driver and OK it does have corners and some ups and downs but taken in the scenery it's great trip. Radar
