Hi everyone (we don't know a single one of you yet but that will change real soon)
We just put a deposit on our towing vehicle without a test drive (shame on us), that is because we have researched many mags and websites' over the last couple of months, exploring the various vehicles that would meet our caravan requirements. (that is the van we have not decided on yet). Well now for the reveal has anyone else purchased a Ford Ranger Wildtrack? We would love to hear from you about any issues or high points of this very hard to get Ford (some have waited many months, we have been told up to 12. Well for us the planets aligned and in a little over a week from putting down the deposit we will be driving back home in our 2013 model. Please wish us luck with our next purchase the VAN.
Hi Kate and Steve, nice choice. I don't have one but it is on my wish list. I haven't heard a bad thing about any of the Ranger range. Now all you need is something equally nice hooked on the back.

Nice truck. My son-in-law has one. Uses it as a trade's ute/weekend camper. He's had it for only a few months but already clocked up about 15k.
He's put a couple of dings in it from working on site and some semi serious 'bush bashing' (idiot) but he loves it. He taken me out a couple of times and I've had just a 'quick' drive but it seems a very nice vehicle. Because of the height, just be careful when opening doors from the inside in case there's some of those stupid little half posts planted by the kerb. Apart from these sort of dramas (which can happen with anything), my S.I.L. reckons it's the best of what he's had and he's always been a tradie/camper and always had one kind of truck or another.
Thanks Dougwe. I'm certainly putting in lots of time researching the van. Off to a couple of RV shows in August and September so hope to narroow the choice down a bit.
