And what an amazing person he is Leevin.   For anyone planning on visiting or staying overnight there

please take note of this paragraph from the news article in the first post;

"The principality has commanded a 12-day period of mourning, ending on her birthday on July 19.

Its offices have been closed, flags are flying at half-mast, and camping and overnight visits have been cancelled

until further notice."

Here is a couple of pic's from my visit, Prince Leonard gave me permission to sit on his "throne" for a pic.

Also some metal art at Hutt River with a statue of Prince Leonard in limestone done by the Marc Le Buse (now deceased) a Canadian sculptor who did many sculptures for Atlantis Theme Park (closed long ago) at Two Rocks, WA. 

Princess Shirley's funeral is at Fremantle Cemetery today, and a memorial service for her will be held later on at Hutt River Principality (they have their own church).  Visiting and camping is closed temporarily during this time until further notice.

If anyone is thinking of visiting there when it is opened again I would do it soon as Prince Leonard is getting on as well and it will depend on his heir (son) Prince Ian whether he carries it on as they are also working farmers.

Prince Leonard was once a physicist (spelling) and mathematician for NASA, is a Rhodes Scholar and an aircrew war veteran that flew missions bombing the Japanese in Borneo during WW2.

 He told us that visitors come in complaining they couldn't find the place, apparently the road direction signs keep getting pinched!
