Mareeba

Please excuse this question, how do you identify each other - pre-arranged or do you look for the sticker on the van? Last 2 months or so I've looked at every van and never seen a sticker. I'm getting jealous.

Happily settled in at Kerribee Park, Mareeba awaiting the rodeo / agricultural show this weekend.  The rodeo is apparently the biggest in northern Queensland so should be really interesting.  So far have met Biggles (Jonathon), Rowdy Rabbit & Gunnago (Rod & Heather), Shady & me (Norma), & Travelling (Lyn) from this site plus numerous others.  There's hundreds of vans, motorhomes, buses here.  Anyone else from this site that's here, we're the Coromal branded "Busy doin' nothin'" with the three dogs tied behind it should you wish to say g'day.

Darrell & Sandra

Great people all you have mentioned oldboar, I have had the pleasure of meeting all apart from Biggles and I'm sure we will cross paths one day. Say hi to all for me please.

In thirteen year on the move around this big country, we have only ever seen one sticker and that was a very old looking sticker on the back of a m/h in Katherine about five odd years ago.

I do not have the sticker.

Hi Denis ..

I frequently make an initial contact here in a PM or vice-versa .. exchanging phone numbers there to arrange final details.

Circumstances vary though .. I met Darrell and Sandra after hearing from others that some folks had asked about me.

The other GN's here at Mareeba I already knew from the past ..

.. and Dougwe .. its a small world and we will catch up some time !

cheers .. Jon

We sure will Jon thats for sure. I missed you by one day late last year at Greens Lake, Vic.

Hako...........Usually I just put a post up here as to where I am heading or are already. No actual location of where I am set up though and my profile doesn't say exactly where I live so I think I'm reasonably safe that way. All else is done via the PM system, great way of meeting great people.

Each meet up can be so different depending on the mood. When I lived in Echuca we would arrange a coffee meet at Gloria Jeans, put a note in the Get togethers for anyone passing through. Amazing how many I have met that way.
