In Geelong for 4 days

We've had a wonderful time going along the coast... I think we climbed kilometers of stairs and track to see waterfalls and cliffs along the way ... the poor bus needs new shockies and front tires so we've made it to Geelong where we'll stay till its fixed.... am glad hubby knows what he's doing :) We're actually parked with the circus!!! yeah!! never saw that coming.... the circus is here!! we are at the show grounds where they charge 22.00 a night, the showers are warm... toilets here of course, so is power... and there is a shopping center not too far away.... having a great time!! :)

I'm with Mike, welcome to Geelong, make sure you check out the waterfront, it's sensational :)

Enjoy Geelong and surrounding areas...Indented Head, St Leonard's, Queenscliff just to name a few.

The original carousel that has been restored is a master piece of craftsmanship sitting on the foreshore.

The Ford museum is worth a look also(even if you are not into Ford )

The wool museum is a place well worth visiting,as this country rode on the back of sheep once.

The best drive we took was along the Ballarine Peninsula.Really lush green country down around that way and too boot some beaut cool climate wineries.

We took the 40 minute ferry ride that leaves Queenscliff Harbour or Sorrento Pier, beautiful trip on the ferry with the Dolphins and Whales frolicking beside the ferry.

This is a good way to go have a look at Philip Island and Cows ,saves going through Melbourne.

We did not know what roads were toll roads and what was what in Melbourne ,so for us it was easier to catch the ferry and save all the hassle of driving through Melbourne to get to these places.

I'm not going down to Geelong this trip, I usually spend time down there with the family. If they want to see me they can come up here. This is cold enough for me at Echuca without heading further down in to the cold.
They all have told me not to come down as they are all freezing and wet a lot of the time.

I've found the weather to be ok, cool but not freezing so far.... will go out and about today.... :)

Do you mean out at Waurn Ponds glassies? I used to live the otherside of that shopping centre. My sister lives out on the waterfront.
