Hello all we have just purchased a coromal lifestyle 667 and we were hoping for some advice regarding our solar setup we are getting 3x64 uni solar stick on panels on the roof we also have 2 x 105 amp batterries in van all wired up through coramal dealership can anyone tell us would this system be enough just to run all our 12 volt lights on the rig for 2 weeks free camplng we have many more questions but I would like to get this issue done first. Looking forward to youre advice johj & debra
Hi John & Debra, welcome aboard! As long as you have sunshine most days you should be fine pretty much indefinitely, all being well. Don't know anything about the new stick on panels but assuming they are as good as or better then previous models, they will keep your 2 batteries topped up. Just beware of the consumption of your appliances. What 12 volt appliances do you have? Do you have an inverter?
At this stage it will be just 12volt lights radio maybe tv we do have aircon but iam led to believe I need bigger than 2kva as we are mad fishos rear of van will be home to little bulldog trailer front of van holds gas bottles so iam up for advice on this we have lived in newman headland weipa nhulunbuy and exmouth for 20 years so I think we will cope for our first trip until I sought that on out no we dont have an inverter excuse my lack of knowledge but what are the benifits cheers john
Sounds ok for running some 12v LEDs, 12v TV, the water pump and a laptop if you have a 12v step up supply from the lighter outlet as well as USB charging for at least a week with minimal sunshine.
Happy and safe travels and welcome to the Grey Nomads forum ....
