48 hour stopover allowed, dump point, hot showers/flushing toilets. Large area but mostly dirt. Very popular and therefore well frequented.
I would call it a good overnighter only but some may like the two nights. Amenities basic but acceptable. A bit too crowded for me but this is the peak season.
We too stayed there last week for a couple of days and would stay again if in the area. Vanners must remember that a donation at the visitors centre helps offset the cost of providing the "free" hot showers and water that is taken by caravanners to fill their tanks and the cleaning of the showers etc. The rate payers in the district have to foot this bill. When I was at the centre last week I asked how may made donations, answer very few. What a pack of tight wads some of people are expecting everything for nothing. Larry
Agree 100% in what what you are saying Larry ,makes one wonder what all these tight A..s are going to do when all these places are closed down. I bet they will be the first to scream and shout about pooe me/us .Most of who I have noticed free loading are the ones who look like they wouldn't miss the gold coin donation or what ever the spot is asking, but prefer to bludge on the local rate payers for their own holiday. Also bet they do not go back home and tell family and friends they bludged their way around Oz on some other persons generosity .
we were there in july 2012 and there was plenty of room and if you go around behind the water feature there is a large grassed area and the only place we found the 48 hour listing was in camps Australia wide and I was told a sign in the ladies toilet but a lot stay there longer and don't have anyone checking
