Mine is so slowopening, that I tried Cindy's advice, about right-clicking on the Link, but the remedy she suggested does not appear on my page. Have PM'd her.

I'm not even getting it anymore. I think I've only been able to open it once!
I think you need to register with Cindy to get it, send her an email if you want it each time it comes out, I don't mean send her an email every time it comes out only one email should do.
I just tried right clicking the link and now have a copy for Mrs W to read to me.
No problems for me. Downloaded fine, saved to the desk top without any probs. What pdf reader are you guys using? Try Foxit Reader it does a lot more than Acrobat - http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/
Finally got it, but it took so long I nearly cancelled it. It's not usually that hard to get. If it happens again though, I'll forget about it. I just can't afford [literally] that much time Downloading one thing.
Wombat, I used to get it but since our new forum format I haven't been. I've told Cindy but I've given up and wait until they are posted on the front page as archives.
Yendorane - Cindy posts the GN News on the front page of forum in archives so you can check out back copies. You'll find them under "Nomad News' - one of the tabs at the top.
Also just saw it's at the bottom of the page I have opened now.

Open your preferred text editor (eg NotePad) and copy and paste the following block of FOR lines into your new text file. Then save it as GNTimes.BAT. Put it in the same folder as WGET.EXE. In my case this is "C:\Program Files\GnuWin32\bin". The file must be saved in Text format, not DOC format.
for %%i in (1) do wget -t2 -nc -P\GNTimes http://www.thegreynomads.com.au/GreyNomadTimesIssue%%i.pdf for %%i in (3 2) do wget -t2 -nc -P\GNTimes http://www.thegreynomads.com.au/GreyNomadTimesIssu%%i.pdf for %%i in (9 8 7 6 5 4) do wget -t2 -nc -P\GNTimes http://www.thegreynomads.com.au/GreyNomadTimesIss%%i.pdf for %%i in (9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0) do wget -t2 -nc -P\GNTimes http://www.thegreynomads.com.au/GreyNomadTimesIss1%%i.pdf for %%i in (9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0) do wget -t2 -nc -P\GNTimes http://www.thegreynomads.com.au/GreyNomadTimesIss2%%i.pdf for %%i in (9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0) do wget -t2 -nc -P\GNTimes http://www.thegreynomads.com.au/GreyNomadTimesIss3%%i.pdf for %%i in (7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0) do wget -t2 -nc -P\GNTimes http://www.thegreynomads.com.au/GreyNomadTimesIss4%%i.pdf
Now click on the BAT file and you should see each issue being downloaded one by one. The destination folder is \GNTimes.

Great info there about the GN News & BAT files, also great to have you on GN.
Some time ago a member here was asking about a program for using Google Earth to log in where in Australia you where while travelling around Aus, so that other members on GN could also track their progress and know where other members are at any given time.
Do you know of such a program? that we could all use to see where each other is in our wonderful country?
Or perhaps its a project you could work on for all of us if you have the time to spare.
