There are several ways of adding an answer to a thread. You can simply use the quick reply box at the bottom. You do not get much control of the formatting of your typing (unless you know the coding.)
The other ways of answering is to use the quote or reply buttons in one of the messages. That way you get a ribbon at the top of the answer pane with some options one it.

Further to my reply above, a lot of the features in the ribbon are greyed out. They only become functional when you highlight some text. Be warned however, you can not use the short cut keys to do the highlighting, you must use the mouse before you can use the features. Also when you use the link insert function it does not put an underline under the link. I use the U button to underline the text I want as my link text before I hit the chain link butto to insert the link. I also find I have to type text after the bits I want to add features to before I do the adding. For instance I typed the Letter U and then pressed the underline button and when I typed more text it kept underlining the text as I typed.

I am a tech as far as electronics is concerned BUT not computers.
I would like to know....PLEASE on how one hilites web site etc on the site and whether there is a specific section that we activate this on the site.
I can help with TV radio and all that gear,BUT computers...I am ignorant,BUT hey not intentional
Advanced editor opens your message, Highlight the web Url you want to link then click on the 'chain' icon below 'A B' which will now be blue instead of grey. This will activate your link.
