Sunset on the Thomson River Qld

Yes, just out of town Kaid. There's a free camp right there alongside the river. It's a huge area and it was a bit of a dust bowl when I was there.

I didn't particularly find the town very GN friendly, but I did find some cousins who I haven't seen for years. And I highly recommend a feed at the Cattlemen's Bar & Grill with their famous 'big arse fan'. That's actually what they call it, because it is!

Doh! Just realised I should have posted in the 'sharing photos' section. Sorry folks.

I wasn't sure where to post this, because it's not my photo, I just wanted to share it because it's so stunning.

It's the work of Nicole Bond, and it was shared on Facebook by ABC Western Qld. 581968_506478959417900_1749085611_n.jpg

Put's my photo of the Thomson River to shame!

That's near Longreach isn't it Beth.
Our daughter has just relocated to there.
I hope we get to see a sunset as spectacular as that

I was thinking of your shot when I saw this. It's certainly spectacular.

We did the Riverbelly Express River Cruise on the Thompson back in 1997 and took similar photos, but none as vivid as this one.
