Just joined up.....

Afternoon all,

My wife Sandra our two pooches and myself have just signed up with the forum and it looks like a great set up.

We originate from Peak Hill,Central West NSW and we are doing the whole trip aounf Aussie.

We have covered Qld and visited some interesting and not so interesting places, seen caravan parks on the market and in general had fun along the way.

We are in Tannant Creek and heading north towards Darwin and thewn all points around the west.

My wife suffers from the start of dementure BUT between the dogs,a jack russel and maremma and myself we keep her active.

Shall look forward to posting articles alonmg the way and also will be open to suggestions.

regards

Peter & Sandrabiggrinbiggrin

Welcome to the forum, Peter and Sandra. Can't think of a better or more interesting way to keep your wife active than touring Oz. Something new and exciting every day!

Thank you folks for your welcome. It has been a BIG eye opener even this far,BUT we have a long way to go and heaps of fun in between time.
I did waste money on certain items before I left Peak Hill,BUT one dosent know what one will need and not need on a trip like this.
We started with a 16 1/2' caravan BUT updated to a 19' at Hervey Bay and as my wife needs a toilet and shower on board well that was one welcome expenditure.BUT our great country is just that and we have a lot of follwers on our radio station facebook page.......
Thanks again for the welcome.

I will forgive the team problem and say, welcome from me Peter and Sandra, enjoy here and out in the playground.

When navigating around the forum don't be too dazzled by all the wombat holes or if you come across a gypsy.

Hi Peter and Sandra and a Huge Welcome,

I can't believe you travel with a Maremma dog, they are huge, the Jack Russell I understand...lol

I don't barrack for any football team, so your team isn't a disadvantage for me. Yes we certainly learn as we go, don't we.

Enjoy your time here, with all these lovely people.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. The only reason for the avatar is because thats the only one that I have that would fit.The one I wanted to use is on another PC and will have to wait til I can access it.My wife Sandra follows the Swans,so we just grin and bear it when they play against each other. The Maremma has been on a strict diet for the last 3-4 months. She was an ex working dog and her weaight blew out to 52 kilos,BUT now she is down to 40 andAY d has to drop down another 3 or 4.Shge sleep s quite well in the dinning area of the van and has had no drama getting used to it.She was cramped in the old 161/2 footer that we had.The Jack Russell sleeps on the foot of the bed but during the day is on Sandra's lap.

Our rig is a Creative Tunami 19' with all the bells and whistles and we drive a 2012 Prado diesel.

We also involve ourselves with Community Radio Station in Peak Hill, named Peakhillfm 89.5 and we have brought it with us and each weekend I get onto the air and do a show..........

I have been told about the 'pebbles' or balls or stones just outside Tennant Creek NT and hope to go out there this afternoon,as tomorrow we head to Elliott and then Mataraka and Katherine

Look forward to posting and helping pout and getting info thru the site.
