Electric brakes

Good morning everyone and especially to Dougwe who is currently in my home town! I am looking for a reasonably priced auto electrician in the Newcastle region to install electric brakes on my Kia Sportage. I have been quoted around $400 and wonder if that is a fair price. Can anyone answer my question, please?

I had this installed about six months ago, from an auto electrictian at Merryland, that price would be close for in dash mount, mine was three hundred for under dash mount.

Hi Linda, you must be in Newcastle as we speak so will miss you unless you are heading back up this way by August. It has been raining this morning but not cold, just nice. I didn't know it was raining until I came out of the cinemas near Willows Shops (I know the names but no adds). The life of a retiree I spose.

I'm heading back home in mid June so maybe we could have a cuppa and you can avail me of your vast experience as a grey nomad!

It depends on the brake unit being fitted, but the Redarc EB is about $160 or more for the unit (prices can vary considerably) and a couple of hours to fit at roughly $80.00 per hour, it wouldn't be far off the mark.
