This did not upset me, so hopefully it will not upset any members of this forum. it is one of my cherished memory and something that I will carry with me with a smile for many years .... or at least while I still remember!
We were just into our annual camping trip with our 12 year old grandson, when we visited Moree on our way to Dubbo and Western Slopes Zoo. Moree was our first stop since leaving home on NSW far north coast. Whilst visiting and staying at a caravan park which was known for its hot springs pool, we decided a dip in the pool would be great after the drive from home. Our grandson was excited about the prospect of spending some time in the CP pool. We were all changed and ready to experience the pools and as we walked through the gate, our grandson stepped out from behind us with a horrified look on his face .......... "Nan!!!!! you must be joking, I'm not going in there, it's infested with old people". God bless the young, for they goo will be "older" one day also!!
I would to hear any other gems you have to share with complieents of the younger generation .....
PS - by the way, our grandson this year (aged 14) has decided holidays in future will be more fun with his friends than with grandparents and little sister ......... thank God for that!!!

Many years ago as a youngster we used to go to manly on the ferry ..Made for a great day trip to Manly and the beach...Can remember my daughter aged seven , thinking we were very old ,she posed the question...Did we help put up the sails on the ferry..Like you say chaslib, out of the mouths of children...Alan..
My then 8 yr old daughter. Yelled to me in a Granny May's Shop (They were looking for a birthday card for me) MUM, ARE YOU A VIRGIN???????? Not once , twice but 3 times just as the music stopped. Clamping my hand over her mouth, with the whole shop laughing hysterically. I pulled her outside. To which she repeated the question. Asked her WHAT????? After much puzzling it turns out she wanted to know my star sign. Yes I am a VIRGO !!!!!!!!!!!!!
