We have on several occasions experienced total loss of water supply to our van and on checking the connection to the tap is fine and tap turned on but no water in the van or at tap on draw bar. Having turned main supply tap off and disconnected hose from the van also getting wet from pressure in the hose.
Reconnected hose to van turned on draw bar tap and then turned on main water supply and bingo water to all outlets in the van.
Any advice on what has caused this and how to fix it would be appreciated, our van is a Jayco Heritage with a Suburban hot water unit pictured in my avatar

First of all what type of Mains Water entry does it have, is it a normal water **** connection and if so it could have an "in-line non-return check valve" which could be blocked?. The the next down the line could be an "in-line Water Pressure Limiter valve" which could also give similar problems. But if the van has one of the Caravan Type Mains Water Inlets which are also a Pressure Limiting Valve. ie Shurflo Plastic Type they have a gauze filter at the inlet hole.?.
The next down the line would be to check that the "Suburban Water Heater Anode" has not deteriorated badly as if that is the case all of the "White powdery deposits" from "Electrolysis" in the tank can be forced through the piping system and even block the "Filter Gauzes" in the Hot Water Tempering Valve Assy. These can be removed and cleaned as they are fitted under the pipe fitting nuts on the valve. Lastly there is no linked hoses?. There is a Post on another forum about this Tempering Valve problem and if I can find it I will re-post to here. Hope some of this helps.
We are having similar problems with our sterling not quite as bad and i have been blaming low water pressure at the CPs we stay on looks like i might have to look at my water system also going to brisbane camperland tommorrow will ask the question there

If there is a problem with the Tempering Valve Just try "Tempering Valve Maintenance" on Google Search plenty of help on how they are dismantled for cleaning of the screens.
Try checking that the two hose fittings on your supply hose from the park tap to your van ,make shore they haven't got a stop valve in either fitting ,been caught before.
Hi kevKim37, we are also in SA. We are in Swan River and moving onto Berri tomorrow foe a day or so before heading into the York Peninsula. If we can sort it right see if we can catch up.
