I just WON'T give up ...

Gday...

This determined old tree is at the bottom of the Gin Gin QLD cemetery.

I couldn't tell for sure if it is a new shoot from the old stump or the result of a seed dropped by a bird ... but it certainly looked like it was a new shoot from the old stump.

Cheers - John

Yeah... I can identify with that tree. I expect to feel the same way when I finally get going on my Odyssey. The ol' new shoot from an old stump trick.

It is great to see such unusual growths on trees. Must go look at them both, this one and the other in Maryborough as they are both fairly close.

I do have a couple here that have regrowth after I cut them off at the ground but don't look nearly as spectacular as these ones.

That one looks like a Fig.  Quite possibly is growing out of it's own stump.  They do that.

Cheers,

Sheba.

 Hi John,

When were you in Gin Gin?  If you're still close give me a PM. I don't live far from the Gin Gin cemetery (pays to look ahead, transport costs are a b***h).

Cheers,

Jack

This is probably the 'gardener' who sowed the seed with its droppings.

Gday...

Left Gin Gin a cuppla days ago ... was doing some 'family tree' (sorry for the pun ) stuff - me mum's family lived here from about 1860 until mid 1900s.

I am over at Eidsvold - still chasing my 'roots' but will be gone by the weekend. Will keep ya in mind next time I'm through this way.

I need to get further north and a bit more warmth smile

Cheers - John
