Fridge/Freezer?

Hello all,

anyone have any advice for us regarding a fridge/freezer?  We want one that 12v/24v - can be 240v as well, just don't want gas.

Looking at the upright style.  Any reccommendations for models and sellers, particularly for online dealers - ARB is the best in Tassie.............

Also wondering if anyone has had any experience with a Beier model 12/24/240 model refrigerator selling on eBay?

Ta!

Our 2-way fridge is a Waeco, and its fine. Theres one called Vitrifrigio... or something like that... which is more expensive and we were told is the best of that type of fridge.

I have a 12/240V Engel upright fridge in my van, not huge but it does the job, can also get about 3 days running not on power, can recharge and run on the move or on 240V......I was running it on 2 setting during my recent trip, ok for what I had in it and kept things cold.

I have a 12v/240 Vitrifrigo 90ltr fridge in my van and It works quite well. At times, it wasn't cooling the bottom shelves as well as the top one so son installed a circulating fan inside which appears to have fixed the problem.

I have 200w of solar panels and two 75amp deep cycle batteries and have had no problems keeping the power up to it. Mine came with the van and yes I have heard they are expensive but I think if I had to replace it I would buy another one but I have had no experience with other fridges.

Hope this helps
