Round fried eggs

Cut an onion, separate the rings and put in frypan - drop the egg into the ring. Onion flavoured round eggs!

Have not tried it yet but loved the idea - one less thing to carry in the van and a round egg fits a round bun so much better!

AND - one more post to get tht total to1,000,000

Another way is to use Capsicum rings.

Cheers,

Sheba.

The onion would have to be fairly big and the slices thick wouldn't it?

We cut the centre out of large mushrooms. Nice with bacon and a little cheese..

Or use a cup or class to cut the centre out of a slice of bread and drop your egg in there if you're not putting it on a bun. We'll definitely give the onion and capsicum method a burl though, sounds great.

We had square eggs as kids. My mum always cooked an egg in the old square jaffle iron.  She then used to do for my kids who when they were little were always fascinated..

If you have to make eggs for lots of people and dont have enough space in the frypan just lubricate the muffin tray with some spray oil and crack the eggs into the muffin cups and cook them in the oven for about 15 mins.

The 'trick' is to have the cooking surface very hot, that way the egg white sets and doesn't flow under the ring :)
